The Firestone airspring has intergrated design with an internal bump stop that negates the need for one to be fitted to the suspension arm or trailer subframe. The BOGE shock absorbers incorporate high damping characteristics ensuring good road adhesion of the tyres. With inboard mounting shock absorbers, maintanance is simplified with easy access to components. No remotely mounted top shocker bracket requirement. The fabricated arm is made from high strength steel and reduces service costs by having no 'u' bolts attaching the suspension to the axle.

Steel centred rubber pivot bush provides smooth fore and aft movements and also accomodates sideways shear movement, ensuring a long service life, excellent roll stability and a superior ride. The quick, accurate and easy axle alignment feature of the suspension only requires a half inch socket drive to adjust, no welding needed.

The FB VRH is a rugged fixed beam suspension suitable for a large number of applications and ride heights. The 2 piece arms are made from high strength steel and are fully welded to the axle beam, eliminating the need for u-bolts. The pivot bush assembly is a 3 piece design, made up of 2 rubber segments that are made from a special rubber compound that provides a long service life and excellent roll stability. The third component is a tapered steel pin that helps correctly load the bush and allow for quick accurate axle alignment.

High levels of damping are provided by the Boge shock absorbers, which are mounted remotely and inboard. This allows easy access for maintenance and service. Ride quality and serviceability is further enhanced by the use of a one-piece 12’’ Goodyear airbag.
