History

York Transport Equipment Pty Ltd began operating in Australia in 1985 supplying imported trailer axles to the Australian transport industry. With strong demands for trailer components York quickly established itself as one of the leading manufacturers in Australia. 

In October 2007, TRF Ltd India, a Tata Enterprise, acquired York Transport Equipment (Asia) Pte Ltd. With the acquisition, York Transport Equipment Pty Ltd became the subsidiary of York Transport Equipment (Asia) Pte Ltd.  

The group has two manufacturing facilities in Singapore and assembling facilities in South Africa and Australia.  

The York Group is supported by sales and service offices for full trailer parts/components in Bangkok, Johannesburg, Qingdao, Leicestershire (UK), along with Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and a network of authorized dealers throughout Australia serving the needs of our strong customer base. 

York continues to invest both capital and expertise to improve the product range it offers and markets it directly to trailer builders, repair facilities and major transport fleets. In addition, York also maintains a distribution network to capitalise on new business opportunities.
